Thermage vs Ultherapy
As the collagen in your skin breaks down through natural aging, skin wrinkles, and sagging begins. Cosmetic procedures such as Thermage® and Ultherapy® may help to rejuvenate sagging, wrinkled skin.
Ultherapy and Thermage are each a non-invasive/non-surgical treatment focusing on tightening of the loose skin. Thermage uses what is known as bulk heating to tighten sagging skin, smooth wrinkles and stimulate new collagen production. Ultherapy offers the similar benefits but uses focal heating to concentrate deeper into the affected tissues. Because Ultherapy targets deeper tissue levels, the procedure provides similar results as those generated by facelifts, but without any downtime.
Both Thermage and Ultherapy have received FDA approval as cosmetic dermatology treatments. Thermage may work help reduce the signs of early aging, but Ultherapy provides an actual lifting of the skin, ideal for more than the face and neck. Ultherapy can be used to treat several cosmetic problems including tightening loose skin on brow and crow’s feet, reduce lip lines, tighten skin at midface, jawline and anterior neck.
Side effects are minimal with Thermage and Ultherapy treatments—you may experience some redness, bruising and other issues. Results and side effects will vary by patient. The Ultherapy treatments range in cost. Contact P. Alexander Ataii at Laser Cliniqúe for more information.
