What is DAXXIFY?

What happens during a DAXXIFY treatment?

DAXXIFY injections are a simple, short treatment, commonly called a “lunchtime treatment” because they can be performed during your lunch break. Expect your DAXXIFY injections to take about 20 to 30 minutes to complete. 

Prepare for DAXXIFY injections in the days leading up to your treatment. Don’t take aspirin or any other blood-thinning medications or supplements, as these can ultimately lead to bruising. On the day of your treatment, come to your appointment with a completely fresh face. Do not wear makeup or put face creams, lotions, or anything else on your face. 

Once your treatment begins, we will start by cleansing your face to remove any makeup residue, toxins, or buildup. We will inject DAXXIFY into the treatment areas with a thin, fine needle. DAXXIFY is precisely injected only into the muscles that are causing wrinkles and lines to form.

Is there a recovery period after DAXXIFY injections?

DAXXIFY requires no downtime or significant recovery period after your injections. Once the short treatment is over, you will be able to carry on with your day and return to your usual routine or work. 

You will likely have some redness or minor swelling at the injection sites. These mild side effects will quickly fade by the end of the day. Other side effects are rare but may include flu-like symptoms or a headache, temporary facial weakness or drooping, bruising, or others.

Wait for a day or two after DAXXIFY treatments to exercise heavily, drink alcohol, or expose yourself to direct sun or heat. Do not massage or manipulate the treatment area during this time, as that could cause the DAXXIFY substance to spread to other areas of the face where it is not designed for use.
