WHAT HAPPENS DURING THE HALO LASER TREATMENT?

About a half hour before your treatment, we will apply a topical anesthetic to your skin to ensure your procedure is comfortable for you. The targeted treatment area for your HALO laser treatment will then be measured with motion tracking technology to ensure the full area is treated evenly.

Once this is complete, we will then treat each section by uniformly rolling the HALO laser handpiece over the skin. This treatment process is measured by the Sciton system which will recognize the treatment evenness and completion.

Because the Sciton laser system uses a topical anesthetic and integrated cooling technology, the HALO laser resurfacing treatment is not considered painful for most patients. However, there will likely be some level of discomfort which includes a feeling of heat and occasional prickling sensations.

Once the treatment is complete, you will continue to feel the heat sensation for an additional hour or possibly longer if the treatment was particularly deep or aggressive. The warm feeling will dissipate quickly in one or two hours.

There will be a couple of days of recovery after your treatment.
