How does Laser Genesis work?

Laser Genesis is a non-invasive, non-ablative laser technology that uses a special laser (Nd: YAG 1064nm) to treat the mid layers of the skin. Instead of creating micro-injuries on the skin’s surface (as some cosmetic treatments do), this laser penetrates the uppermost layer to deliver micro-pulses of laser energy into the dermis, i.e., the underlying layers of the skin.

By gently heating the skin’s deeper layers, Laser Genesis encourages your body to produce collagen, a naturally-occurring substance that adds to your skin’s general elasticity, firmness, and structure. The treatment also seals off the tiny veins and broken capillaries and breaks down pigmented lesions to clear your skin of years of aging and sun damage.

What happens during the Laser Genesis procedure?

The Laser Genesis device is then moved over the targeted portions of your skin, working away at the problem areas. You’ll likely feel a mild, painfree warmth, similar to sunbathing. The procedure will conclude within about an hour.

When the procedure is completed, we will apply sunscreen over the newly treated skin to help protect it from external damage. You’re free to resume all of your daily activities as soon as you leave the clinic.
