Downtime and side effects
One thing that patients love most about BOTOX is that it demands no recovery time. Some patients do experience side effects such as headache, nausea, temporary eyelid drooping, and/or bruising and numbness at the injection sites, but these are very rare. Results
You will start noticing a difference in your facial muscles about 2-7 days after getting BOTOX injections, with the full effect taking up to two weeks. Results generally last 3-4 months. Some patients experience results even longer (4-6 months), while others see their results lasting closer to two months. It’s also important to note that first-time results tend to not last quite as long. Most patients prefer to have follow-up treatments every three or four months to maintain their results. Over time, the need to have lines and wrinkles routinely treated will diminish. In fact, some patients have BOTOX injections only once a year because they received it so regularly for awhile.
